چکیده

Mine earthquakes are serious disasters in coal mines, especially extremely thick hard strata. This study investigates the occurrence mechanism of fracture-type mine Hydraulic fracturing by ground vertical well was used for shock absorption. Dongtan taken as a case study. Field investigation, theoretical analysis, industrial tests, and field monitoring were revealing mechanism. First, mechanical model thick, strata under horizontal concentrated stress established. The fracture step equation energy release rock derived semi-inverse solution variational method. Then, after hydraulic relationship between spacing maximum magnitude deduced. 6306 working face designed controlling earthquake magnitude. Results show that increases breaking distance layer led to an increase released during fracture, enhancement earthquake. By applying technology using shaft, frequency total above 1.5 ML decreased 54.55% 81.22% than 6304 face, reduced 70% 84.98% 6305 face. can significantly reduce However, it not prevent control back-transition slip-type earthquakes. obtained results provide basis absorption mines with super-thick

Radium and barium removal through blending hydraulic fracturing fluids with acid mine drainage.

Wastewaters generated during hydraulic fracturing of the Marcellus Shale typically contain high concentrations of salts, naturally occurring radioactive material (NORM), and metals, such as barium, that pose environmental and public health risks upon inadequate treatment and disposal. In addition, fresh water scarcity in dry regions or during periods of drought could limit shale gas development...

Simulation of hydraulic fracturing of jointed rock

This paper presents a modeling approach for three-dimensional simulation of hydraulic fracturing of jointed rock. The base for a successful computer based simulation for productive use is the ability to calculate the fractured volume with sufficient accuracy and efficiency. Especially in cases three dimensional effects have to be taken into account, the common commercial software tools in oil a...

Ancient Iranian Earthquakes: Chehr-Abad Salt Mine

Modern plate tectonic theory, the development of earthquake prediction and the mitigation of earthquake hazards are based on the study of earthquakes during the twentieth century. Investigation of earthquakes over a much longer period, although in no way invalidating the global importance of plate tectonics, shows that patterns of seismic activity do change with time and that areas of intense s...

Evaluation of the mine gases hazard in the closed hard coal mine „Niwka-Modrzejów”

Hodnotenie nebezpečnosti banských plynov v uzavretej čiernouhoľnej bani „Niwka-Modrzejów” Closing of hard coal mines, especially stopping the process of mine water pumping, results in a reconstruction of the Carboniferous water-bearing horizon, leading to the intensification of gas flux to the near-surface zone („piston effect”). Stopping the fans considerably enhances the movement of mine gase...
